UX writing for apps
Everyone wants to build an app that’s easy to use. Duh. But that can only be accomplished with clear cues. Apps feature microcopy (those tiny strings of text like “Next”), so it can be difficult to convey everything you need in such a small space.
As experienced UX writers, we’re skilled at finding the perfect word. And sometimes, that means no words at all.

In the example above, the first screen is confusing. Do you tap OK to cancel? Do you tap Cancel to cancel? Does Cancel cancel the cancellation? Does the word cancel look really weird right now to you, too?
The second screen clears things up a bit. The user knows what will happen when they tap any of the two buttons. Notice that the color of the buttons changed, too — this is also the difference that content design (instead of just UX writing) makes!
UX writing for the web
Your website shouldn’t just be full of marketing fluff. That’s what your ads are for!
When users come to your website, they expect to be informed and guided through their journey. Comparing services, adding products to shopping carts, checking out, signing up for events — all of those interactions need the right words.

Don’t forget the SEO!
When we write for UX, we’re always writing for SEO too. You don’t need multiple writers for these subjects — all content should serve both purposes. Two for the price of one!
